We are allowing cheap drugs like heroin and pills that are so potent young people are dying in large numbers every day.

Will the activists March to save a life from drugs and demand the border to be closed? Will Oprah donate big money to send a message that our young people should be protected from all those potent drugs coming into neighborhoods across this nation. Who will stand to protect our young people from this scourge on society today?
You'd be better advised to take CEOs like John Kapoor who are nothing but pushers in pinstripe suits and behead them in the public square. American Big Pharma is the problem, not the miniscule amounts of drugs that flow across the border.

Cartels and Bog Pharm are drug sellers. You don’t have to be a drug buyer. I buy one recreational drug..beer. It truly makes a rough day seem a bit better.

You have to be naive or willfully ignorant to think slapping up a wall or closing the border will stop illegal drugs from entering the country.

The war on drugs is over, and drugs won.

Don't lock your doors at night then and tear down any barriers around your house because after all thieves will find other ways to get into your house anyway.
The typical immigrant that came where the Wall is proposed for doesn't have a pot to **** in and is not responsible for any percentage of the drugs that come in. Why would these people hike through the desert in the open for days or many hours carrying drugs?

There are tunnels a mile long under the border.

It's not a a matter of the Wall not being perfect...its a matter of it doing absolutely NOTHING at all. Most immigrants fly in these days and they can also take busses, trains, walk, drive or are legally going back and forth in tractor trailers.

Anyone who thinks the wall will reduce drugs is smoking too many themselves. It won't even touch the problem.

The problem - as everyone agrees - is not supply, it is demand. If people don't have heroin they will do bath salts or synthetic opiates or kratom or something else.

Perhaps we should ask ourselves why we are a drunk, obese and drug sucking nation (much more than most other places)???

There is the problem for you. Now...come up with a solution to make people stop seeking pleasure and to make them stop hating their lives.

Apply that to the march on guns. They are legal and protected by the second amendment. Dead kids from an overdose where drugs pour over the border don't count. t

The border is 2000 miles long. The narcos are some of the richest and most powerful people in Mexico. They will find a way.

It's a whole economy where young men with no skills can earn $200+ a day in a country where their fathers slave away for 12 hours to earn $10 a day. It's not going away.

How was the crack epidemic resolved in the 80's and 90's? Ah yes, everyone was thrown in jail for decade-long sentences, users and dealers. Worked then, it'll work again.

If we throw pharmaceutical executives in, then yes.

Explain how closing the border will stop drug issues.
