That was a movie targeted at hoes so they could have more self-esteem about their wasted pathetic lives, and to normalize the creepy weirdos that hire them.
Its none of your damn business what two consenting adults agree to. Stop trying to be the morality police.
One person tweeted something that was her opinion. The tweet was swiftly removed, which suggests to me that it was not any kind of official policy on the part of PP.
FWIW, I think the tweet was wrong. There is no reason for movies made for children of that age to be so political in their content, or to introduce topics, like abortion, that will make little or no sense to a five-year-old.
On the other hand, there is - or was - something wrong with the traditional "Disney Princess" model, too, in that it tends to imply that the only way to be happy is to capture the heart of Prince Charming, who will then solve all your problems for you.
In any case, to say that that single woman and her tweet represent everyone at PP is just as silly as saying that the politician mentioned in another thread who said only Christians should be able to hold public office represents all Republicans. There are nutty people out there, at all points on the political spectrum. Attempting to hold all of their associates responsible for what they do and say is lazy and intellectually dishonest.
Would anyone else like to use my soapbox? I believe I am finished with it, at least for now.
A new step forward in the culture wars...courtesy of Planned Parenthood of course
From The Wrap -
A Pennsylvania branch of Planned Parenthood raised eyebrows Tuesday after tweeting that Disney should widen its animated princesses to include one “who’s had an abortion” and “an undocumented immigrant.”
“We need a Disney princess who’s had an abortion. We need a Disney princess who’s pro-choice. We need a Disney princess who’s an undocumented immigrant. We need a disney princess who’s actually a union worker. We need a Disney princess who’s trans,” the account for Planned Parenthood of Keystone, Pennsylvania tweeted on Tuesday morning.
You have to wonder why the Princess would ever want an abortion in the first place.
the stigma of raising an out-of-wedlock, dwarf baby conceived during a sexual assault when the mother was passed out, is something that should not be dismissed so casually.
Even if Disney boss Robert Iger is a Democrat, the backlash the Disney Empire would have (socially, morally, ethically, etc.) would be something not leaning in the company's favor.
