Hannity is backing off from that and now claiming he may have given Cohen $10. Thats a nice way to try and avoid Hannity blowing any chance of keeping things secret. Of course they may have issues if it was never recorded.
Cohen recorded EVERYTHING. Every conversation he had with his clients. Every conversation he had on his client's behalf, and every response he made on his client's behalf when he was called.
That's why all of his records were subpoenaed and seized.
Remember that Cohen was more than just Trump's lawyer. At various times he has represented him on other affairs, has acted as a bag man and go-between, and paid off Stormy Daniels with what appears to be Trump's campaign fund that was routed around to obscure the payment.
This has nothing to do with the Mueller investigation. This investigation is the State of New York's. There is no one Trump can fire conducting it.
The money may have come from his 2nd client. Hannity is his 3rd, and went to great pains to try to stay anonymous. Cohen didn't name Hannity. One of his own lawyers was forced to, in court, on the judge's demand.
This all stinks of collusion, at least in the Stormy Daniels affair, but where it will lead no one knows just yet. It won't be long before we do, though.
Yes, I noticed that about the copies. So, they are not just willy nilly turning originals over that could inadvertently be lost or misplaced.
That makes sense, because the reason that they went for the warrant to search and seize in the first place was the NY prosecutor's office concern that Cohen might destroy records/documents/evidence if they didn't go in and get them first.
Also, I think it is important to remember that THIS evidence relates to possible criminal charges against COHEN, not the President.
Even so, a lot of Cohen's records are not going to be covered by attorney-client privilege, since Cohen did a lot more than just legal work. So, things like bank statements, bank transfer records, business emails, etc. probably won't fall into that category.
Whatever they suspect Cohen of must be much more than just paying off Stormy.
Cohen's father in law was Ukranian---he owned big taxi fleet--where the money came from no one seems to know...

You have a man whose son in law is an attorney for one of the most prominent men in NYC and you don't take advantage of him to be YOUR attorney???
That's not kosher...everyone leans on relatives for free professional help--
Your cousin the CPA, your brother in law the dentist, your cousin the plumber...

I just can't believe Cohen on one hand with all the Russian contacts sitting around Cohen Friday, he had NO RUSSIAN clients--
That means ANY exculpatory info tied to suspected criminal acts can't be protected by attorney client cover--
Will save a LOT of work to just have 3 clients

Hannity spoke to Cohen about real estate. Hannity has often said on his show that he doesn't trust the stock market so invests in real estate. He said he wanted perspective and input from Cohen and no one else was involved. He was never billed and never paid Cohen for a couple of brief conversations.
Those of us who have lawyer friends do get free legal advice once in a while. But we know not to ask too often!

It's a whole new level of unethical activity if they did. I would imagine there are quite a few members of the press from "fake news" sites trying to find that information as we type here.

Actually, there is a [small] probability Hannity's name did not need to be made public at this time.
Per Avenatti, on O'Donnell right now, the judge gave the atty the option of writing the name of the client or pronouncing it orally.
Avenatti says, of course, he should have chosen the written option, on the chance the judge will look at the name, realize the implications, and say she is not releasing it at this time and needs to think about it.
But, Cohen's dumbass atty didn't take at least that chance, so Hannity was immediately revealed.
Hannity needs to sue for incompetent legal representation.

I must admit it's kind of fun to watch these guys engaging in a public meltdown and trying to come up with a coherent story.
Did none of these people ever think this day would come? Did it never occur to any of them that they should plan for the day when they'll get found out and will need a consistent, believable lie to spew?
It seems like they could have called each other and settled on one story, anyway. What a bunch of amateurs.
