This guy makes Hoover look good! He's gone way out of line and needs to be canned! The fact that Congress is threatening to make a bill blocking Trump from firing him shows that Congress if full of traitors and that the people may have to take matters into their own hands.

Well Sean Hannity has already coined the entire thing a "nothingburger," so that settles it in their mind.
Nothing, the investigation would still go on without Mueller. It would be political suicide with no real results to show for it. Right now federal agents are looking at all the documents and available data of the president's personal lawyer. Firing Mueller does not change that.
I was going to say - Mueller is nobody's fool. I'm certain from Day One the investigation has been structured to continue uninterrupted in the event he or another attorney is incapacitated for whatever reason. I will also lay odds that if the whole investigation was magically shut down, state AGs and District Attorneys have been given all the information they need to continue outside any federal venue. Trump firing Mueller would be like Sampson pulling the columns out and bringing the roof down on himself.
breaking news reports are saying that Trump is floating idea to GOP congress about Trump planning to fire Rosenstein. He doesn't want to blindside the GOP congress. They are telling him not to do this.

As I understand it Trey Gowdy is a former prosecutor. Some of it must not have worn off yet.
I think he could see himself in Mueller's position, trying to do the right thing in spite of all the personal attacks. Mueller is in a sort of tragic hero position, and an historic one, a Republican charged to do his duty as much as that may pain him inside. Some people can relate to that.
