I could have listed a LOT more places but, why?

"How about throwing in Alaska since you suddenly switched to states."

I didn't SWITCH to anything.

The poster I responded to made a blanket statement and did NOT specify city, state, etc, so I included examples of both.

"every serious count shows that toughest regs=less gun violence"

It isn't my fault you can't follow along.

Or a Corvette, or a trophy wife, or a lifted truck, fake nails, fake boobs.....

Which of the above is covered by the Constitution? Don't want a trophy wife don't marry one. Feel free to gossip about those that do.

Sounds like the fear is from Hoplophobes.

Were you at the park that day? Ignorant and irrational. Those are words that you throw around, when you don't even know the person and unless you were actually at the scene are offensive.

This situation, could have ended a lot different. The woman was IMO smart, alert, and protective of people's rights to be enjoying a day in the park.

A guy with (it sounds like) a huge chip on his shoulders, wanting a fight did not get what he wanted, but this sure draws attention to the fact, that we need to report odd happenings.

Maybe, just the shirt alone, or the gun alone, would not have been so frightening. The two items, together, were like an advertisement for violence. JMO

Is it possible that you misinterpret the meaning of his shirt?

Of course it's possible that the shirt could be interpreted in different ways. The woman who called the police perceived a threat. She saw something suspicious, she asked the police to check it out. That's what people are supposed to do. The school buses in our area now have "SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING" posted on them.

What ACTIONS was he doing that would suggest he's a nut? Playing with his kids? I know lots of normal people that legally carry guns, and wear shirts with writing, and pictures on them. Is the guy wearing the picture of a murdering terrorist like Che Guevera automatically a nut?
