According to the NY'er article, it could also have been Mueller's team who asked for the removal.

Although Mnuchin, of course, could have a hand in this. Apparently, Mnuchin was the mover behind the ZTE deal - I actually heard this on Fox Business News from Charlie Gasparino. Gasparino upset, host (black, don't know his name) was talking over Gasparino - clearly to dilute his words.
I fear for this whistleblower, as there may have been legitimate, non-nefarious reasons for removal from the more open database. Trump, of course, will escape scot-free. Cohen possibly not. Avenatti said again today on Nichole Wallace that, because of Cohen, Trump will not finish out his term. I certainly hope this prediction is as accurate as what he's disclosed so far - although the thought of Pence is a horror show, as well.
