Those countries have lower minimum wages than America and a lot of corruption. Spain was even a developing country and a dictatorship a few decades ago. Its like pointing to the "Democratic People's Republic of North Korea" and telling people that "see, democracy sucks".
It’s not lower in France I’m not looking up every other country

You can’t compare the U.S to a tiny country somewhere .
Its $5.58 an hour in Spain. It has the highest unemployment on that list of yours. I guess they should eliminate the minimum wage so unemployment can reach 30%?
There are far more important factors than minimum wages that make up an economy, so its silly to conclude like that.
You think the average small business owner has tons of profits ?
What do you think most little shops and restaurants make ?
Everyone talks about Walmart and stuff . But these min wage laws really affect the mom and pops .
And liberals could care less and they are just dismissive about it
“Serves them right if they go out of business !”
They can make a lot of dough. I heard a local bar owner is making so much business that he is thinking about building on to it by adding a second level.

Didnt you just say that we cant have high minimum wage because Spain has high unemployment and this will happen in America?
Funny how that works. When a country with 83 million people works the same as a country with 5 million people, its ignored, but suddenly all bets are off going from 83 million to 320 million?
NO. A lot of people don't want to own a home and then have to deal with the heavy expense of maintenance issues, such as when the heating or cooling quits. Other expenses to deal with, like the property taxes every year.
No one says someone working minimum wage should be able to buy a home. Home ownership is a luxury. But they should be able to split a one bedroom apartment with two to three people

So people should stay poor as renters because they don’t want to do maintenance?
Renting should be temporary .. like working for min wage
Some don’t want to buy property or invest in anything .
Should we subsidize all of them ?
