Yes, $15/hour is more slavery than $7.

When I don’t like working for peanuts, I go find a different job or start my own business.
Go away. You're giving me an headache.

There you go again with machines replacing workers. Can't wait huh?

Once again, with your high opinion of yourself, and your intelligence. Maybe just another educated idiot huh?

What about the folks just above the income level of Section 8 and such? Let them eat cake huh?

There you go again with your love for the rich. They'll move their money and business abroad. Yada yada yada. America doesn't need the idle rich who look down on ordinary folks. **** 'em.

Keep thinking how smart you are. Like I said, doesn't impress me at all. We have folks like you in England as well.
Whats funny is that these people are arguing that higher pay and better benefits for low skilled workers spur technological innovation and productivity growth, a boost to economic growth. And they argue that this is bad! Its like hearing slave owners arguing about how slavery must continue to "protect jobs".

Liberals are going to be really upset when you walk into fast food restaurants and all the $15 an hour workers are replaced by machines.

Oh wait it’s already happening.

Minimum wage hikes, another failed liberal policy leading to more unemplyment and outsourcing of jobs.

One would think the first 20 minimum wage hikes would do the trick. Nope. Looks like liberals aren’t very good at legislating their constituents out of poverty.

It's just crazy. People who almost brought us down in 2008, walked away with their spoils, and the rest of us picked up the tab. Such folks seem admired by some here.

Yet, people who do essential work like garbage collectors, and workers in nursing homes, are only worth minimum wage in the minds of some.

Just disgusting. We have been sold down the river by the so called elite, and expected to be grateful to earn peanuts. I'm glad I'm retired, and out of this awful game.

One day, there will be a reckoning, and I hope I'm dead before it comes.

Jobs shouldnt be protected just because they are called "jobs". Or we would all be living as peasants and slaves.

Agreed it is fair, but not for liberals.

They won’t stop until every poor person is out of a job and replaced by a machine because their employer can’t afford the forced salary increase on their employees.

Boy, you're a belter aren't you? Full of superiority, and self worth. You think those businesses replacing labour with machines, wouldn't do so, if workers continued to work for slave wages? Of course they would. It's all about the bottom line, and always has been. Machines have been replacing workers for many decades.

Capitalism is failing the majority of the population. Lovers of the rich don't even notice. That could be me one day, they dream. Give me a break.

We already have peasants in this country, the ones who think the government will legislate them out of poverty on a burger flippers salary.

I’ve got some bad news dude, those jobs will be long gone before your minimum wage hike pipe dream ever becomes a reality.

You hate the poor and yet have the audacity to claim that you care about them? Dont be silly. Automation has always happened, it is the backbone of economic growth and prosperity, and new type of jobs will be created as always happens. You are essentially arguing for feudalism. A permanent underclass people can look down upon to feel good about themselves. Thats the issue here. People making $14 an hour being convinced they should feel threatened by burger flippers making $10 an hour and demanding more.
