So who gave this woman the label of unhinged feminist? It could have been an uptight conservative gal.

She's a women's studies prof. There is literally not a single Republican women's/gender studies prof. That's because everyone understands that these departments do not study women or gender in any legitimate academic sense. They are political advocacy vehicles. If you visit the webpage for the women's studies department if your nearest university, you will probably find that they expressly state this on the main page. No conservative wants to advocate beliefs/policies with which they disagree.

Recognizing that, it is useless to be offended. It is like being offended by a dog that pees on the floor. There is no point.

Lame joke, even lamer response of outrage. You can bet she's guilty of being offensive and intolerant herself and was just looking for an excuse to attack someone.
College professors are notorious for being arrogant and dictatorial.

Right!

And plus, what if a man wanted to wear lingerie? Why did she assume his gender?

I'm thinking she needs to talk to a surgeon. Maybe one could remove the corn cob stuck up her butt.

She could use some schooling about elevator etiquette from Mr. Tyler.

Great analogy. I don’t get offended much by anything unless it’s from someone I know and love. Why would I care about jokes? Or something strangers say? It makes no difference to me.
