Cost efficiency be damned, kids are better off in smaller groups. Parent involvement would improve and everyone would be more in tune with these problem kids who pose a danger to themselves and others.

We can speculate forever about what is causing this, but this violence has risen to the level of an emergency. Banning certain types of weapons is something we can do quickly as an emergency measure that we know has been effective in other countries.

I guess you can think of it like martial law. If we ever figure out why so many people are going mad and killing each other then perhaps we can lift restrictions one day -- as unlikely as that will be.
So if it's true that this kid used a shotgun and revolver your plan is to ban all guns?

What about the 10 victims freedoms?

They were snuffed out today because you think your right to bare arms supercedes life itself.

If you are concerned with numbers of dead then start searching street thugs in Chicago, Detroit, Baltimore, Gary...and take the illegal hand guns off them. Would save thousands, not hundreds of lives.

All these drugs folks have their kids on from an early age may have something to do with this lunacy, back in the day kids were just behaving like kids........now they have to be pumped with adderall, ritalin and who knows what else. Perhaps that is making kids these days friggin whackos. All I know is Pharma sales must be doing quite well.

Santa Fe, Tx has a population of 13,000. Reportedly, everyone knows everyone.

Thus far, no red flags about this kid.

I agree with this. I have thought for years anonymity that comes with huge places leads to isolation, a failure to recognize someone with a problem and ability to commit crimes and prepare for crimes unnoticed. Smaller social structures is not a perfect fix, but it is a start.

Shotguns and revolvers (the murder weapons in this shooting) are dead LAST on the "guns leftists want to ban" list. There are tens of millions of 'em in circulation.

There is ZERO possibility of revolvers and shotguns going away. Even if they were banned (an impossibility in and of itself) there is ZERO chance of them disappearing off the streets.

You will never shame 2A supporters into giving away their Constitutional Rights because we know we are NOT to blame. Some troubled satanist Greek American kid did the deed and the blame is on HIM.
