Sergeant Matt Bertram told the Associated Press the two men just "dropped off this device, and took off right away".
"We have no indication to call it a hate crime or any kind of terrorism act," he added.
Then what is it when you drop off a bomb?

Terrorism is politically motivated by definition.

They don't know what the motivation was yet.

We, as a society, have chosen to expand the term of terrorism to mean all acts of extreme violence but pure definition, it is politically motivated.

They don't know yet if this was politically motivated.

Lived in Mississauga -- different area -- but there was a bomb detonated in at some point (didn't even make the national news, let alone the international news) and it wasn't politically motivated -- it was mafia style stuff. This was the mid 70's.

It's an interesting thing to get upset about though - that they won't immediately label it a terrorist attack. It's like you want it to be a terrorist attack and when they don't jump on that excuse you get triggered.

Interesting.

Not at all. The issue is we have stupid people in positions of authority that are naive. We had that at the highest level for 8 years in the US. Gives me no confidence in the investigation or solutions. Focus should 100% be on the Muslim community right away along with surveillance evidence.

They aren't 'naive' -- they don't know yet why these guy did it.

It is better to not make up a scenario to fit some narrative. They don't know yet why, or who so why would they start to make something up.

Was it political, gang or family related/ We don't know.

You have to get to work immediately. Start talking to people. Asking questions. You can't just wait. You go with the most likely hypothesis until you have better evidence. This one looks Muslim especially with Ramadan coming. Investigation needs to prioritize that. We'll see if I am right, but this Sergeant needs to wake up to reality.

Oh, for crying out loud. Of course they got to work immediately, asking questions, checking surveillance tapes, ...

When they come up with some answers, they will likely announce it to the rest of us.

Meanwhile, jumping to conclusions would be foolish and unprofessional.

Just because the OP sees a Muslim behind every bush does not mean everybody does.

no WE haven't, its the liberals that keep expanding the definition of things to include more and more things that shouldn't be included(racist, sexist, hate speech) its the liberal playbook to divide and conquer with the stupid identity politics.
