You realize that the Muslims have been at war in the middle east for thousands of years, well before the U.S. even became a country?

Hey if they can ban a Hitler shirt why not ban a burka too? I wonder, would they let someone walk around dressed up like a klansman?

I once saw a woman in a full Burka outside of a restaurant here in Bellevue, WA. The hijabs I don't mind so much, but I found the Burka very disconcerting. You couldn't even see her eyes--she just had two tiny slits to see out of. I felt like I was back in 1850 and seeing a slave in leg irons.

I wouldn't ban them, but I would do everything possible to discourage them (e.g. public information campaigns, vetting of immigrants, etc)

If they assimilate fully, you'd never know they were Muslim anyway, unless they told you. So yeah, most people would probably be neutral toward them. My Muslim friend from Serbia is completely the same outwardly as any other 45 year old white male. Same with his wife; you'd never know.

The ironic thing to me is the hotter the climate, the more popular the Burka seems to be.

I was sweating like a pig in my T-shirt in South Asia and yet groups of women walk buy totally covered in black.

Unless their intention is to make others assimilate to their ways.
When it comes to human spirituality, it really should be about linking our existence with truth, science, and compassion.

It should never be based upon myths, lies, and distortions.

Therefore, let's ban all religious symbols displayed in public.

All places of "worship" should be converted to educational facilities or science centers.

Instead of demonstrating reverence for some ghost, let's demonstrate our reverence and respect for the earth and its inhabitants by displaying better responsibility in earth stewardship.

How about a mandatory star and crescent moon on their sleeves?
