Watching our President on the Canadian TV I really had to say how adept, smart and accomplished he has become in one year. He is on our side, he is going to make America strong and a true advocate for peace. So exciting.
Now to all the people who will cite labels, stories or other echo chamber statements please join us and grow into what is going on. The slights and the small minded criticism are relegating you to failures and to history....
So go on....take the risk to listen to what he is doing....for US. If you cannot or won't please know that the
the rest of the USA are leaving....and enjoying success. We are winning with him in the head of state.

You seem to share Trump's ignorant paranoia, that everyone is out to get us, and we have to be bullying everyone else. No. Smart? Even his own staff admitted that he could not, for instance, persuade people about health care because he didn't understand it himself.
You'd have to be nuts to think anyone threatening nuclear war could ever be considered an advocate for peace. You can even tell by all the contentious relationships in his life, by all the times he insults people, that there is nothing "peaceful" about him. He is alienating all our allies, while shamefully cozying up to authoritarians.

The European Union, for example, levies an average tariff of only three percent on US goods. Who says so? The U.S. government’s own guide to exporters.
True, there are some particular sectors where each country imposes special barriers to trade. Yes, Canada imposes high tariffs on certain dairy products. But it’s hard to make the case that these special cases are any worse than, say, the 25 percent tariff the U.S. still imposes on light trucks. The overall picture is that all of the G7 members have very open markets. "
His economic policies are simple. America should not be asked to should the burden and other countries should pay their fare share and not be allowed to tax and tariff us.
So it's okay that Americans are paying more for steel and have less money to spend on other things. You forgot about okaying higher spending even though he said he was against that when he ran.

I laugh at Trump, Americans and the United States. Do they think they're scary and tough?

The rest of us apologize. It's embarrasing. We're living in a parody of our country. With a physical manifestation of every dumb American stereotype sloppily packaged into one man.
I cannot believe that Trump supporters are so indoctrinated now that Trump can turn 35% of the country against Canada. There is absolutely no reason for Trump to have behaved like an angry twelve year old. I'm guessing he will try to be extra nice to Kim Jung Un because he knows he made a complete fool of himself here.
Hopefully Canada knows not all of us agree with this or with Trump.
This isn't the 1950's. Canada has chosen its own path often different than the US. It's normal that it would get treated accordingly. Canada isn't some magical place that gets to have its own set of rules. Don't like it work to change it.
His defense policies are clear. You will not be allowed to threaten our citizens. We will punish you until you obey us and adjust your politics and speech to comport with the world order of peace.
So, you are admitting right out loud that our president aspires to be a despot.
YOU WILL OBEY THE UNITED STATES OR WE WELL PUNISH YOU.
And you will be stunned when the rest of the world says, F-YOU, and leaves us in the dust.
