Can you imagine if Sam Donaldson or Dan Rather was around?
Reagan managed to deal with both.
All presidents before this snowflake was able to handle the press--and I've seen them more aggressive than this.
Acosta is not a reporter. Like Jorge Ramos, he is a liberal activist. Reporters are supposed to ask questions from a neutral stand. Not debate the President and push their politics.
CNN can send other reporters, why is Acosta so special? CNN can give him his own political program. What's their problem?
"Helen, I find it really unfortunate that you use your front row position, bestowed upon you by your colleagues, to make such statements. This is a...it is an honor and a privilege to be in the briefing room, and to suggest that we, the United States, are killing innocent people is just absurd and very offensive."
Agreed. And I don't think he handled the situation with the female staffer well at all. Although he didn't get physical with her, he made it a very awkward and uncomfortable position for her to just do her job. Same as he was trying to do, but he had no respect for her, or others in that room just doing their jobs, whether it was collecting a microphone or being the next person to get to ask a question.
Looking at it from a professional perspective, I'm sure none of us would act the way Acosta did at our jobs because its just childish and disrespectful to everyone in the room.
Yelling out questions in the middle of a historic moment when 2 national leaders are signing documents.
There is a time and place for questions but Acosta interrupts and grandstands.
He should have his Press Credentials temporarily suspended for his actions in Singapore.
Yes. That was the intern's job: transfer the mic to the next journalist already called on by POTUS. Acosta used physical force to prevent the intern from doing her job. Male over-privilege much? Shame on Acosta for strong-arming a woman to get his way.
