Immigrant kids in Denmark will be away from families 25 hours a week | Daily Mail Online

If you want to live in Denmark, live like a Dane. All those Americans with Danish envy, I can see why!

"From the age of one, 'ghetto children' — those born into concentrated urban areas with high gang violence and unemployment rates — will be forced into public education, spending a minimum of 25 hours per week away from their parents.

The rules target 25 enclaves that consider factors such as residents’ income, employment status and criminal convictions.

Kids will be taught the traditions of Christmas and Easter while learning to speak Danish.

According to Reuters, the government said if parents fail to enroll children, they could lose their welfare benefits."

Maybe socialism isn’t so bad after all.

Immigration has "push" AND "pull" factors. The pull factors are probably more important than push factors when it comes to places like Denmark, Sweden, etc. (where people travel through dozens of safe countries in order to claim asylum, etc.)

Those countries who don't want to be flop houses for benefits shoppers with no intentions on integration need to start getting tough, or see their own countries turned to the garbage countries these migrants are "fleeing" from.

Tough love. Shape up or ship out. Otherwise, we're full up on layabouts and ghettos brimming with disaffected people who feel they're oppressed.

Maybe it's tough love, maybe it's a driving them out. Either way, it's all about becoming a Dane. If you want to be a Syrian stay in Syria.

It's up to you.

Agreed. I've been to Denmark; it is a truly beautiful country with developed systems and a good business environment. The population is intelligent, educated, multi-lingual, creative and productive. Re-read that last sentence. THAT is what makes Denmark what it is.

When you have a Govt structure that taxes heavily and provides alot of services, you have to have a high functioning and productive populace.
If they allow even 20% of their population to drag them down from that, they will fail. There is no debate about that. Go see for yourself.

I'm actually okay with this as long as it's clearly explained to those seeking to emigrate. I wish Trump would follow something like this instead of cruelty for the sake of being cruel.

Crazy. Free high quality child care for every child is considered a punishment? Alot of American parents would love that.

America and Canada did something similar with Native Americans. The liberals are all in on being more like Europe while Europe is becoming like America of the past.
What a dysfunctional message from the loons.

We do the same with public schools. We separate the parents from the children so the children can be educated. Its pure evil. This will be the propaganda used to eliminate free K-12 schools I can imagine. Just use "separated from parents" non stop for months and people will start to rail against free schooling for children.
