"Cardinal Theodore McCarrick has been exposed as a longtime homosexual predator, who preyed especially on young seminarians. The Church reels at the revelations surrounding the McCarrick scandal, as it turns out that many who lead the efforts to repair the damage of the Catholic sex abuse scandal over the last two decades were themselves incompetent or negligent.

Fr. John Hollowell is one priest who had the courage to address all these outrages from the pulpit. Stephen talks with him about how lay Catholics might pick up the slack to Christianize the world, even as the moral authority of bishops "goes the way of the Hindenburg."

Egan and Law after shielding pedophiles were promoted.

Bishops belong in maximum security prison for aiding and abetting pedophiles. Lifetime sentences, no parole. With cellmates told what they did, so they can tell them what they think should occur to these "bishops".

Another question that comes up with this, why hasnt God intervened? In the bible there are plenty of times God intervened directly due to wrongdoing by the people, he destroyed 2 cities for sexual sin! One would think he would step up if his own church was doing things like this...but so far...nothing, not sure what that says.

Until priests and bishops testify against pedophile priests, bishops, any other RCC staff, they have not changed one iota.

Until the RCC exempts the confessions of pedophiles from its conspiracy enabling "sanctity of the confessional", nothing has changed.

That was my primary motive for forever leaving this institution. With a 6% pervert rate, for every 16 priests you met, 1 sexually abused a child. Likely for years. Putting money in the basket enables that to keep recurring.

I celebrate when I watch RCC churches and schools close. Fewer opportunities to molest children. My town is now down to 1 vs 3 RCC grade schools growing up. Mine was 1 of 2 closed.

PS: This comes from a Fordham University grad of long ago.

I hope God is intervening this time and we Catholics will do God's will at long last. We have lived too long with promises of reform and nothing happens. It's time for the laity to act, we can't depend on the bishops since it's like the fox guarding the hen house.

Separation of church and state----remember? Plus, Trump has put more pedophiles in prison since he was elected then any other president.
