If Manafort is found guilty on 17 counts I predict that Trump will say:
1- so unfair - who cares if he stole $$
2- the jury is obviously 12 Angry Democrats
3- I never even met Manafort - I couldn’t even pick him out of a lineup
4- this has nuthin to do with the Witch Hunt
5- I hope this doesn’t mean that they’ll go after me for tax fraud
As for Russian vs Ukrainian "employees", perhaps you are unaware that Manafort worked for Ukrainian puppets and oligarch cronies of Putin, before and during the early phases of the Maidan Revolution and in support of the corrupt former president of Ukraine, the cowardly Russian patsy Victor Yanukovych. You remember, the one who cravenly flew off to the welcoming arms of Vladimir Putin rather than face the legitimate demands of patriotic Ukrainians.
They may have had Ukrainian citizenship at that time - but they were not true Ukrainians. Their loyalty was to Putin and to Putin's Russia, not to Ukraine.
