Y'all only have two options. So you can't discuss one without discussing the other by implication. I think there is a bit of evidence that Trump will get a bigger share of the Black vote next time around, maybe pushing up toward 15%. But 30% is a pipe dream.
1) Who are you talking about when you say "y'all"?
2) There is only a bit of evidence. Not enough to suggest that there will be a larger surge of Black votes next time around. There are still alot of Black people who don't have work. Big difference between unemployment rate and workplace participation rate.
3) And this is the most important part. I was talking about people grasping at straws regarding who Blacks vote for. My point was that there is only an obsession about who Blacks vote for because they only look out for the interests of conservatives, and they feel Blacks stand in the way of that. Said persons obsessing over who Blacks vote for do not care about Black people. I think said persons see Blacks are part of the problem. That is what I was talking about. I was not talking about Democrats vs Republicans. I was talking about why many people start threads like this.
She worked in the Clinton White House too and got fired. What does that say about the Clintons.
Nothing, because unlike Trump they didnt hire her because she said nice things about them. Nor did they hire her at a point when it was obvious that she was someone who got fired a lot.
Back to the topic. To me this is just another "Blacks need to vote Republican" thread. No, I am not here to sing any praises about Democrats or any political party. This is strictly about the topic of this thread, and the motive behind it.
First, there is a difference between workplace participation and unemployment rate. Unemployment rate counts those who are within the workforce. Work participation counts the percentage of the population who are part of the work force. The unemployment rate might be low, but the work participation rate is lower that it has been in past years. The unemployment rate has been dropping since 2010, 2011. The work participation rate has been dropping too, since around 2007, 2008. Many people are no longer in the work force. Many who were long term unemployed simple stopped trying to get work or they are underemployed. Blacks are still more likely to be unemployed than anyone else.
Second, I believe this obsession over who Blacks vote for is a backhanded method of complaining about Black people. I do not believe this is about the well-being/interest of Black Americans. I think this is more about "We want what's best for conservatives, and Black people stand in the way of that. Blacks should either vote Republican or not vote at all". I think this is why there is an obsession about who Blacks vote for. I actually started a thread asking why there is an obsession over who Black Americans vote for. //www.city-data.com/forum/polit...americans.html
Are there actually people on this forum or just Bots obsessed with Obama and Hillary.
Got to wonder, don't you?
