Yet another post indicating that you don't understand the concept of pooling resources via insurance, universal health care, etc. etc. etc.

This is quite amusing, and extremely entertaining.

There’s an Ebola epidemic brewing in the Congo. Once again, it’s spreading via bushmeat- often the only reliable source of food.

No doubt the local witch doctors got it covered.

No need for the best and brightest minds in the world to treat it

As long as you love extreme inequality, you dont stand a chance to influence the political process because you dont have the money necessary to be of importance.

Free market includes marketing.

Agree the US is closer to a free market than other countries.

There's absolutely no way to justify it. Even the poor in European countries pay those countries' 20%-25% national VAT taxes.

27% of all 1040 filers pay neither federal income tax NOR FICA because their refundable tax credits offset what they've paid in FICA and frequently even more beyond that.

Latest published tax data, for 2015. Source: left-wing think tank, Tax Policy Center...

A surprisingly large percentage (about 27%) of the income tax filing population isn't expected to contribute at all in regards to federal income and payroll taxes.

Federal Income Tax Units: 171.3 million (Excludes those who are dependents of other tax units)
Federal Income Tax Payers: 93.8 million (Tax filers with a total federal individual income tax obligation of over $5 for the year, already withheld or not)

A tax unit is an individual tax return filer, or a married couple who file a tax return jointly, along with the inclusion of all (if any) dependents of that individual or married couple.

Tax Units with Zero or Negative Individual Income Tax:

77.5 million. 45.3% of all tax units.

Tax Units with Zero or Negative Sum of Income and Payroll Taxes:

46 million. 26.9% of all tax units

Moot point. Providing for a national defense is mandated by the Constitution. Providing health care, food, housing, etc., for the poor is not.

Not too diff than Wall Street hiring SEC employees.

Tells me the private sector pays / benefits better than Federal Government.

You're just advocating the demand for some to work as slaves to benefit others. That's both immoral and unconscionable. Guess what percentage of the year the top 1% has to work for free because that income goes to pay local, state, and federal taxes? I bet you have NO clue.

Uh, you have absolutely no point here.....

In the USA, even the poor pay gas taxes, right.
Excise taxes on their phones? Cable?
Sales and Registration taxes on cars and consumer goods??
Taxes of all sorts on Airline tickets....for federal and other uses?
and much more.....

This has absolutely nothing to do with the thread topic.

You haven't even explained WHO is enslaved while yapping "Slavery".

Are the couple with 3 children in public schools who are paying in 40K a year yet costing us all 80K a year....slaves? Or am I a slave with zero kids in school and paying vastly more in taxes than my own "cost"?

Please don't answer because this has no relevance.

All, or at least most, contribute in some way or another.

Medicare isnt slavery. Just drop this nonsense. If the poor paid a little more into the system, you would still kick and scream that they dont pay as much as the millionaire so it must be abolished in favor of a Congolese system of no regulations, no government in health care, no food and drug safety and witch doctors on demand. You are so extreme its almost laughable.
