Are Americans really this stupid, or this cynical, or this devious?

This is a freaking political circus.

The accuser should not be given the time of day unless she can present some credible probative evidence that her accusation is true.

Yes, sexual assault is horrible. But, it is not so horrible that we should lose all common sense when a mere unsubstantiated accusation of the same is made.

Had a person come along at this 11th hour and accused the nominee of cheating in a business deal 36 years ago, we would rightfully raise our collective eyebrows and ask for details. If the person bringing the accusation could offer not a single detail or evidence to support the accusation, we would all rightfully tell that person to go pound salt.

Had a person come along at this 11th hour and accused the nominee of committing murder 36 years ago, we would rightfully raise our collective eyebrows and ask for details. If the person bringing the accusation could offer not a single detail or evidence to support the accusation, we would all rightfully tell that person to go pound salt.

An accusation of sexual assault should be treated no differently. No evidence? Go pound salt.

The only reason this is causing a stir is for the political hay the Left cam make from it.

Ms. Ford should have the opportunity to tell her story. If she declines to tell her story to the senate committee, I won't believe her accusations. accusations aren't proof.

If Ms. Ford does decide to tell her story to the senate committee, then the senators should weigh the evidence. to me, evidence would include others corroborating she told them what Kavanaugh did to her years before this confirmation process started.
It has been reported that ms. ford refuses to testify before the senate judiciary committee. ford wants an fbi investigation first which is ridiculous.

the vote for supreme court justice needs to go forward in the senate immediately.

Did you read your own post? "Seemed"?

This whole fiasco is nothing more than a carefully constructed narrative to prevent Kavenaugh from being confirmed. First, they spread the notion that he will overturn Roe with the insinuation that he hates women and that he wants to "take women's health care away". Now, they have brought out their final card, claiming he not only hates women but hates them so much he tries to rape them.

It's a very flimsy argument and one anyone with any sense at all can see right through. The Democrats are truly pitiful.

This whole thing is crap.
Trump has to OK the FBI investigation. Or is it Congress?
And ya, like one sexual predator is gonna say OK to investigate the sexual predator that is going to end the Mueller investigation for him.

I totally believe this woman.
And even Orin Hatch knows she s telling the truth ...he s just on the blind deaf and DUMB team trump. If they believed she was lying they d be rolling the pres or Congress to get that investigation going. ASAP so they could say democrats are dirty liars.
But they r nt doing that are they.

You cannot just demand that the FBI conduct an investigation on a matter. This supposed incident does not satisfy the critiea for an FBI investigation.

This is also not within the jurisdiction of the FBI. An attempted rape allegation would be handled by the state of Maryland, where the alleged incident occurred.

It is scary that the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee is unaware of the law, but not surprising,
