Now that Brett Kavanaugh has been accused of sexual assault by a woman who has passed a lie-detector test, that's all the more reason that the tens of thousands (literally) of documents that GOP is blocking be released to the public. The American people demand it.
What he is alleged to have done needs to be addressed. She's not coming forward cuz it's all fun and games for her. Her life will be under constant scrutiny, personally and professionally.
The confirmation remains likely. Not one senator has said they intend to change their vote. A few have said they want to hear the accuser testify first.
If one GOP Senator on the Judiciary Comittee votes NO then Kavanaugh does not move forward into the vote
Sasse COULD but likely won't
Flake should do it and put himself for once on the side of actually letting his actions follow his words
He has been critical of Trump from pre-election
He isn't running because of the Trump factor in AZ--he couldn't fight that wave within his party
He needs to step away and save his soul by refusing to be complicit in a second travesty of illegal interference to put an uber-conservative Justice on the Supreme Court...

As troubling as the sexual assault allegation is, this is even more troubling. You know they are hiding something big in there or they wouldn't be in such a rush to get this nomination through before anyone can see those documents. Makes you wonder what other big land mines there are waiting to explode after he is confirmed if they are allowed to rush this through.

Foreclosures are pretty straight forward. If you go default on your loan, you are warned and then you pay or lose your house within a certain time period. There's nothing much a judge can do, but sign off on the paperwork.

She passed a polygraph.

She wants to testify under oath.

If she wants to testify under oath, I'm all for that!!!! Let the cross examination begin! That should be brutal.
Then Kavanaugh, gets to be questioned about it and face his accuser.
I hope the republican party is aware of how much it will matter.
Dems are already holding a pretty big lead in polls for November. Granted, we saw the polls in 2016 and that didn't pan out.
But the last thing the GOP should want to do is enrage the left and fire up the #metoo movement less than two months before the biggest mid-term in decades.
Trump's presidency hangs in the balance. Independents are parting ways from Trump in droves. If the GOP pushes to hurry up and nominate Kavanaugh without giving Ford a chance to testify, independent professional, college educated suburban white women will turn out for Dems in a big, big way.
To those of you who want so much to stop this appointment or stall as long as possible it seems easy; to accept her story; for others there are still so many holes it isn't funny. It is sad.
I used to respect the senior senator from Ca and thought she was a great mayor while serving in San Francisco. Now, I have to wonder why she held the letter so long and put her in the same category as man other democrats.
As for taking a vote on conformation, I actually would like to see the nice young? lady from Stanford have her chance to be interviewed by a select group of congress people. That would clear the air, but it has to be done in the next few days. If not, the vote should be taken.
and btw, what makes you say independents are parting ways with Trump. You need to show us where you did your research to post this as fact.
However, I wonder why Christine Blasey Ford had all scrubbed her social media accounts if she have nothing to hide?
A question that will be asked of her if she testifies.
