That's not true. There are textile provisons and food provisons as well.

Bill Clinton's NAFTA is now Dead.

Canada is left out for now.

Trump keeping campaign promises.

#MAGA.

The anti-American worker Democrat party will have a meltdown today.

The death of NAFTA would have to be approved by the legislatures of all three countries as would any new agreement between or among nations. Trump is not a dictator just yet. Anyway, there were few changes of any substance under consideration other than auto parts. Trump lying about keeping campaign promises.

Actually Cheeto can walk away from NAFTA with a notification period. However the new agreement will require ratification, unless he's going to pretend it's all about national security too.

Incorrect.

As President, the US Constitution gives the President authority over trade agreements. NAFTA is not a treaty. I realize the Democrat party isn't big on the US Constitution, but that's irrelevant.

Bill Clinton's NAFTA is dead.

U.S-Mexico trade deal stands even if Canada left out - Mexican minister |Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The trade deal between the United States and Mexico will stand even if Canada does not come to an agreement with the Trump administration in the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Mexico’s foreign minister said on Monday.

“If for any reason the government of Canada and the United States do not reach a (NAFTA) agreement, we already know that there will still be a deal between Mexico and the United States,” Mexican Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray told a news conference in Washington.
Canada has to sign a deal with Trump now. They have no bargaining power. They counted on Mexico being the lynchpin in the "resistance" against our dear, fearless leader. Think about this for a moment. Not only did Trump negotiate with the current Mexican President that he has been attacking periodically, he negotiated with the uber-liberal incoming President and his administration as well that hasn't had very kind things to say about anyone. Both administrations in Mexico wanted this deal done. Mexico realized Trump is serious and the party is over. They would be crippled if we tariffed them to oblivion. Then, you have the current Mexican President on a conference call with Trump telling him he can't wait to see him and give him a hug. You can't make this stuff up. Mexico tossed Canada right under the bus.

Canada screwed themselves over and now they will wind up being bent over the table the next 6 to 16 years the way the United States was for the past 25 years. The difference being the United States is a superpower and was able to absorb much of the hit. Canada is a regional country they needed NAFTA more than we needed it. Trudeau's arrogance will cause his people much suffering for the next few years.

Look at the power this Country has when it just raises its arm that barely flexes a muscle. The world believes they could bully us around and has been doing that in one-way shape or form the past 20 years. Trump just reminded the world who we are and in record time. There is a lot of work yet to be done still and time is short. Thank you, President Trump.

trump wanted a 25% to 40% tariff on cars made in MX that did not meet his new standards of content. He settled for 2.5%

Two POINT Five percent versus the 25% to 40% he mouthed off about for the past year.

Arse of the Deal.
