The easiest and most effective way, would be to go about conditioning/ brainwashing the owners of those guns into believing guns should only be in the hands of police or military.
This really does work, Ive seen gun buy backs or turn in stations pop up after mass shootings and many people interviewed y media, claim after this latest mass shooting, its enough for them, they do not want guns in their house anymore....See how easy it is to manipulate public opinion so it lines up with what a tyrannical govt wants? Very sneaky but very clever.

Yes--only cops should have guns. Especially so they can break into your apartment and shoot you dead for no reason.

Maybe guns just for the Feds in their mind. But then they get their wish that only the Feds have guns, and now those Federal Police are controlled by Donald Trump

I only used 'gun buy backs' because I wasnt sure what else to call them, it was basically a line of citizens willing to turn over their guns, so they can be destroyed. Im assuming the ATF were the ones accepting the guns.
The point I was making though, was after a mass shooting happens, lots of people suddenly do not want guns in their house anymore...in other words, they have been successfully conditioned.
Thats how easy it would be to disarm majority of the citizens, why do it by force, when you can use psychology?!
