Trump has known Manafort since at least the 80's when he hired Manafort to lobby for his real estate and casino interests.

I have seen the Slate story. Trump hired Manaforts firm, Manafort had his picture taken during GWB convention, Manafort lived at Trump tower and chatted with him on the elevator. So Trump knew of him and his impressive campaign resume. And........

How do you make plea deals without a judge?......no, really, I would like to know.
Plea deals are negotiated with the prosecutor. The judge usually accepts them. Doesn’t have to of course, but usually if the prosecutor and defendant are agreed on the terms, the judge will agree too.
My guess is, the fireworks show will begin after the Midterms and before Christmas.
After the midterms we'll have a new AG and deputy AG. The only fireworks will be that the Mueller investigation will wrap up before the end of the year with a report that will have some negative things to say about Trump but absolutely nothing impeachable.
It's a huge deal for Paul Manafort, not so much for the Russia collusion investigation.
Do you honestly believe that Manafort, political counselor to Russian-backed candidates in Ukraine and was paid by Putin's allies, who ran Trump's campaign for five months and was in the room when anything important was happening including the Trump Tower meeting, doesn't have any evidence on Trump and Russia?
Manafort has enough knowledge of what happened during the campaign to either put Trump in jail or prove his innocence conclusively. If Trump is innocent, he would be campaigning for Manafort to testify publicly to that fact.

It has been in the news, Manafort was flat on his back and broke and wrote a letter to the Trump campaign angling for a job. With his impressive resume they hired him so that would make it 2016.
Where did the Huffington post or you get that Manafort knew Trump for decades? Like everyone in the country has known of Trump for decades but not personally know him. The Huffington post is the only source I know of that is claiming this. If you have other sources with details post them.

According to Manafort's daughter, he and Trump were together in Trump's office all the time.
