Personally I don't find him much of a gadfly. Most of his rants make sense and he's very educated on the points he's trying to get across. He studies both sides of an issue before passing judgement and if he were siding with the opposite side of the spectrum, the left would love to have someone like him on their side.

What's wrong with that? First you have a assumption that liberalism means critical thinking when many of us see it the opposite where many times liberals expect conformity. Also you are deciding for yourself what someone else's self interest should be, which again is a form of expected conformity not to mention branding all African Americans as one, without individual thought.

Two questions, who are you to decide what my self interests should be and who are you to decide what all African Americans self interests should be?. Now stop and think how you would react if someone was shoving down your throat what decided self interests should be.

It would be impossible for the Left to have someone like him on their side.

All Leftist narratives require a degree of factual omission or egregious spin to work.

Although I'm not a huge fan of his associate group of pundits for other reasons, Shapiro is mostly does not deal in narratives that rely on factual omission / spin.

The democratic left wants black people to believe they are all helpless children that are incapable of improving their situation unless white people swoop in and do all the work for them. I doubt being steered away from that path is the wrong thing to do.

But there have been several other notable hip hop artists to fall victim to the siren song of conservatism. In 2012 Nicki Minaj rapped in a song:

Rapper 50 Cent is reportedly an active investor and businessman who leans Republican. He helped found a sports drink company that was sold to Coca Cola for $4.1 billion. The Trump campaign approached him in 2017, and to his credit he rebuffed them.

Lastly is this rant by singer Cardi B regarding government spending. I have heard this played on a conservative talk show (warning: LANGUAGE)

I am especially concerned because these are people who are very influential among young African Americans. They are being steered down a very wrong path. What can be done to correct this?

I don't see this as a disturbing trend at all. It's really more of a refreshing change, actually. More and more, you're seeing leftists and left-leaners coming to their senses because their extremist party is failed and egregiously ineffective at attracting anyone right now. The Democrat Party is dead. Dead. There are good things going on among Republicans, and this nation's future is bright if people will just let it. I'm ecstatic to see these African-Americans changing course and going the right direction and realizing what a good thing conservatism is.

It is. More people are talking about it. That gets people thinking...then before you know it, it's cool for minorities to be conservative.

All the while Asian Americans are laughing to the bank as the highest median household income earning demographic in America.

When you refuse to be a victim, you can accomplish anything. But when you are content with being a victim, you won’t accompish anything.

There has never been a better time for people of color to advance up the social ladder than after the 8 year tenture of the only black president this country has ever seen.

Lol...that’s a fantastic statement. You’re being way too presumptuous, and if you know even 2 black people, the idea that adherence to political conservatism would widely propagate itself and be deemed “cool” among African Americans is as probable you hitting the lottery for millions of dollars tomorrow. In fact, you hitting the lotto has better odds.

Not saying that it will NEVER happen, but it’ll happen contemporaneously with the world looking something like what you see on the Jetsons. Literally.
