It was legal until 1985 and even today is a very popular club / party drug. The people I've known who used it heavily will admit to it screwing with their long term memory.
In the US it was more of a '90s thing, but it was huge in Manchester, England, in the '80s. Watch the movie 24-Hour Party People.

I sure hope no one here is on dial up considering the length of the original thread.

There was a movement to block Kavanaugh before he was even nominated. It's not about his character, it is about the radical leftist politicians knowing when the Republicans hold a strong majority, they are toast.

That was the 2nd complaint. The one that couldn't remember who it was until she spent 6 days talking to her attorney. She even called other classmates who all basically said WTF are you talking about.

Exclamation FBI Investigation Scope Limitations - Witnesses

Quote:
Two sources told CNN that Ford and Kavanaugh's names were NOT on the initial list of witnesses given by Senate Republicans to the White House for the FBI to interview. Sources familiar with Ford's legal team have told CNN that Ford and her lawyers have not heard from the FBI.

FBI agents are expected to interview several people who Ford said were present at the party where the alleged assault took place, including Mark Judge, Patrick J. Smyth and Leland Keyser, sources familiar with the matter told CNN.

So...IF the FBI gets digging into this whole issue and find, not only that there is no evidence that the event ever happened, but that Feinstein or someone on her staff approached Ford (or Swetnick), or that their lawyers, both liberal activists did, and offered them either 15 minutes of fame or huge financial rewards (such as $1 million from gofundme accounts)...just how many laws have they broken? IF Ford concocted this whole story, how much prison time could she do? How much can she lose due to a defamation suit?

He was excessively belligerent and excessively weepy during his testimony.
The most absurd notion that somehow Kavanaugh is some ongoing raging alcoholic is the most ridiculous of them all. SIX investigations into his life as an adult folks. SIX. He’s been pretty much investigated his entire adult life due to his jobs. Seriously, they would have already known if he was a drunk. Sheesh. Use some critical thinking skills for god’s sake.

He was upset at being accused of being a sexual predator and having his name and reputation gleefully smeared in the media with the Democrats help. Full stop.

They gave their sworn testimony already...

No one has been charged with a crime, as much as the liberals want it conducted as a criminal investigation.........it is not

all the real witnesses...even the one's Ford said were witnesses and were not and had to go to an attorney and file stating she's full of crap...have given their statements already

...nothing is going to change.....and the democrats calling for a FBI investigation was all for show...knowing the idiot liberals would fall for it thinking the dems actually did something

5 years for lying to Congress. Sure something like conspiracy could be added. But I doubt they set this up. I think Ford has some issues and that led her here. Feinstein just used her even though I think she knows her story is crap too.

AFAIK heavy drinkers who weren't full-blown alcoholics can cut back and become moderate drinkers.

Yeah Ramirez. Worst journalism ever from the New Yorker on that one.
