LOLOLOLOL. That is literally what she did! She called 911! You don't even know the basic facts and you are still defending her.

He lives there. He doesn't have to explain ANYTHING to her. Who are these people to think they can just challenge somebody?

I'm a white man and I would not have cooperated with her at all. If anything I would've called the police on her for harassment.
Would you not have entered the building properly?

Black people are just as likely to follow safety protocol as white people and white people are just as likely to violate safety protocol as black people. How is that racist?

You are the racist for assuming that a white person is racist.

It's not her job or place to be harassing fellow tenants.

And you apologists making excuses for her conveniently leave out the fact that she still called the cops on him even after she saw him take out his key and let himself into his apartment.

That's not concern for safety no matter how much you want to paint it as such.

I'm confused, what on earth are you talking about?! She tried to give the guy a break? What break can she give him? He's a private citizen, just as she is. He lives in that building. HE DOES NOT OWE HER ANY EXPLANATION OR ANSWERS WHATSOEVER. She is a nobody, and she cannot demand anything from him.

So what the hech are you talking about when saying the guy should have "followed the rule of law?"

{snip}

How do we know she was suspicious of him simply for looking black? What was he dressed like? Was he dressed like a homeless bum? Was he dressed like a gansta wannabe?

I'm white and I would have been glad to prove to her that I live there. He was rude, inconsiderate, and searching for the next viral racial incident.

Why should he?
He said he'd already buzzed the keypad.

So you'd be perfectly okay with a complete stranger blocking the doorway to your home, telling that complete stranger which apartment you live in when they demand it and showing them your keys when they demand it? You're okay with that? What if the tables were turned he was doing all that to her? You are still okay with that are you?

You're okay then with a complete stranger then following you to the elevator, getting in, still demanding to still know where you live, then following you to your door?

Get real. The woman is deranged.

So if she had seen him using his keyfob to enter the building, she could have avoided having to call 911? But she saw him using his key to enter his own apartment and she still called. If seeing him use his key wasn't good enough for her, how would seeing him use his keyfob be enough?

Yes, the man's calm and reasonable behavior was BELLIGERENT because he did not obey her without question. Clearly, he deserved to be arrested for entering his own apartment.

What should we call this now, apartmenting while black?

Maybe she was hoping for a Amber Guyge solution for this "rude" man who just wanted to go home. I bet that would have made her happy.

Occasionally there are people who come in behind me to my building. I don't recognize them, I politely say, "Hey, sorry, can you key in yourself?" as I shut the door. I don't block the door with my body while yelling "YOU ARE MAKING ME UNCOMFORTABLE."
If she called the police after he entered his apartment then she is a fool.
