Keep in mind that the ban on Cannabis was NOT originally driven by society's concern over health impacts. It was due to racial reasons (fear mongering of immigrants.. sound familar?) and later rebanned because the cotton lobby (money).

Banning a vice under the premise of "protecting society" from itself only removes rights and freedoms. We already experimented with that decision and it failed with alcohol prohibition.

"There are 100,000 total marijuana smokers in the US, and most are Negroes, Hispanics, Filipinos, and entertainers. Their Satanic music, jazz, and swing, result from marijuana use. This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes, entertainers, and any others.”

“…the primary reason to outlaw marijuana is its effect on the degenerate races.”

Harry Anslinger - First Commissioner of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics.
The ban has roots in racism and lack of understanding/knowledge. People today are unknowingly or knowingly perpetuating this insanity today.

Urine is just about as effective in the same manner.

It was a better-than-nothing anesthetic back in the Old West days.

You can also use it to drown your sorrows, but that usually only makes things worse.

But I'll defend anyone's right to use it.

Both alcohol and pot have marginal medicinal value. But that’s not why people want it legalized, but they had to start with the “medical” lie. Almost all of the real medical value of pot has already been made into pharmaceuticals. The difference is that the active medicinal ingredients don’t make you as high and need to be prescribed, so no one wants them. The truth is that medical cannabis has been legal and available by prescription for decades.

Actually, not a single statement in this post is true. I have posted the evidence for it more than once in this thread, which you not surprisingly completely ignored.

You are a completely closed book.

Whether cannabis is bad or good for you is irrelevant. It’s a plant. Criminalizing a plant and spending billions of tax dollars on war against a plant is stupid.

I have a friend who tried Marinol for pain, he said it is worthless compared to eating marijuana.
