What did he say to warrant these remarks? Where did he say he wanted a war with migrants? Maybe you should re-read what he actually said instead of making smart a** ed comments.

Anyone can paint and run a company? Yeah right A functionally illiterate illegal who doesn't speak English can set up his own painting company, get licensed, insured and bonded?

Sure anyone can paint. How many can do a professional grade job?

Anyone who picks up day laborers and brings them into their homes, deserves what comes to them. In my state if you hire someone who isn't licensed and insured and that person gets injured on the job, your homeowners' insurance won't cover it. Not to mention, you don't know anything about these people whom you bring into your home. If they steal something, try finding them again.

Does that "Latino kid from Mexico City" have at least, a green card? Is he paying taxes? Or is he paying under the table?

Do some googling. See how many Americans have been put out of work by illegals. --- Illegals do shoddy work, too.

And, yes, black and white Americans were run off the jobs. Why did you ignore the fact that honest contractors can't compete with sleazebag contractors who hire illegals and pay them under the table?

Be honest. This is all about you preferring to hire cheap, exploitable, illegal labor.
Standard right wing myth yet again. The residential building industry here and in most of the southwest is staffed by Hispanics. But they are virtually all legal and are paid pretty well.

I have a regular gardener who I often use as a source for other workmen as well. Everybody does excellent work. And they are all legal, citizens in fact. And his kids, who often assist him, work on the Strip in good paying jobs. He owns a nice big home in a suburban neighborhood with multiple bedrooms and a swimming pool. Certainly middle class.

Got a neighbor who does concrete work...specializes in fancy stuff. Crew is Hispanic though He and foremen are Caucasians. Has has most of his crews for over 20 years. Says somebody will occasionally pull in a relative who may not be legal for casual labor but rarely. And it is useful when they need an extra hand for a day or so.

I was also visiting the best semi-custom builder in town a couple of months ago. 1 to 2 million homes. Excellent construction with beautiful finishing. Crew looks 90% Hispanic.

So the myth of the cheap illegal alien working construction is just that.

And it is not that the underlying story is great. What really happened here and i suspect in much of the SW was the residential building contractors went after the construction unions. And the skill pool they found that was able and willing to replace them was the Hispanic tradesman. Likely many illegals in the early years but nowadays very few.

Default Question for Liberals about the caravan

Now I believe not all liberals are for the caravan.

What makes you think that the caravan are unarmed?
Do you think they are carrying contraband? And hiding it in baby strollers?
Why do you feel it's right to let them in if your tax dollars are sending aide there?
And what do you think will happen if we keep letting the caravans in?
Do you think it's right to give them free medical care and foodstamps and all?
Do you think Trump should let them in and put them in Los angeles's or Chicago? Or the suburbs?

Do you still think it's right to invade and occupy other countries and secure their border and not ours?

Not a liberal, but who is advocating for that? Most sane people just want them processed through official refugee channels. Which can include denying them entry if they are not approved.

The alarmism on this caravan is through the roof. Do you know they are just a fraction of the monthly immigration numbers? Why is this a crisis...just before midterms? Who benefits from this manufactured outrage? Not the liberals in my view.

I believe, most Liberals aren't for open borders and just letting anyone just waltz in and freeload on our resources. But most Liberals (not all) hate Trump so much, they will obstruct anything Trump.

Lack of borders is a far right concept. You should have freedom of movement to go anywhere that is not private property. Borders are for statists is the tag line.

Let me ask you this, how heartless and xenophobic do you have to be to refuse to even hear from or let refugees in?

Anyone who believes we should shut our borders and meet these poor, tired refugees with military might is VERY heartless and xenohobic indeed. They have every right as YOUR ancestors did to seek asylum in America.

In 2016, approximately 10.3 million people worked in the construction industry in the United States.

In 2014, illegals accounted for 15% of those jobs.

In farming, they held 26% of the jobs.

Just because some of you want to pretend this doesn't impact Americans doesn't mean the rest of us are buying it.

It's election time and Trump needs a boogeyman, something to scare his supporters out to the polls. This caravan is the new boogeyman for the moment, they are coming to get you, be afraid, be very afraid.

Xenophobic? That's a fear of strangers. Who's a stranger to our country that isn't here already legally or are citizens of our country? How heartless is it for the bleeding hearts not to care about the needs and rights of our own citizens? When our ancestors came here they came through Ellis Island legally and we had no welfare safety net for them. We were also much less populated, in need of nation builders with plentiful jobs and resources to go around....not so today!

These migrants were offered refuge in Mexico along with jobs but most refused so don't give that crap about us not letting them in here after that.

Military might is just to stop them from entering illegally, period! There will be no bloodshed unless they start it first. Get a grip!
