All y'all are pointing your fingers at one party or the other raising reasons why it would benefit the party you dislike more. Here's the thing. Most of these folks who go after politicians share one thing in common: they are angry. No matter what side of the aisle they are on, their anger unites them. Anyone who thinks this through logically would see there is not a vast right or left wing conspiracy because if -- and more than like -- when the guilty folks are caught, it does nothing good for their side. It's very likely one or two nutjobs going after specific people for reasons that make sense to only him.
Folks high up in both parties understand this is an insane move. They would never do it.
This will obliterate the Democrats if this is traced back to someone from Antifa etc. I think it’ll hurt the GOP too but it’s more likely to be detrimental if the public sees it as a leftist who tried to fake everyone out. People are naturally more offended by deception than they are outright hostility. A guy attacking his own side to make the other look bad will look worse than a guy on the other side attacking them
Full disclosure: No Trump fan here and think he sends all sorts of negative messages, quite deliberately - for his own advantage (both political and personal), the country be damned.
What are "gaffes" for most other politicians are full court press for Trump.
The Trump moment that made my jaw drop is not any of his oft-repeated "outrages" and, in fact, received little "airtime." It was during an interview after one of the Republican primary debates, where he was boasting of how he handled one of the others who seems to have angered him with some assertion.
I actually don't now remember who it was for it was the Trump behavior that was memorable. He took his fist and said that he wanted - could - would (the exact word is gone) hit this guy (it wasn't Fiorina) so hard that his head would "swizzle." The look on Trump's face was what struck. He was *ticked.*
At first I thought he was literally threatening ... then on replay that it was unwise hyperbole ... another friend who also saw it thought him quite serious.
Who knows. You either like that stuff or do not.
And know he is touting fake outrage at the bomb threats. Wants unity. Pffft. Maybe he shouldn't be applauding the body slamming of journalists. He's such a gaslighter. Everbody knows he loves this stuff.
Once again, I'd like to give Donald Trump credit for trying to unify us during this crazy day of terrorist attacks.
Even though Donald Trump has personally insulted every single person who received a bomb today, President Trump contradicted his normal hate speech about democrats and called for all Americans, democrats and republicans, to come together. This type of violence (terrorism actually) will not be tolerated by anybody, regardless of political affiliation.
I hope Donald Trump for once will listen to his aides and other republicans when they tell him to turn down the hateful rhetoric against democrats and CNN. Because like I said, every single person who received a bomb has been talked about and insulted by Trump.
Oh no, is there going to be a recession and another subsequent bailout?? The last time politicians concurred and united were during pearl harbor, 9/11, 2008 bailout . At the end of each of them, people were robbed.

Trump's hate filled rhetoric has led to this. He still keeps mentioning Hillary at his rallies and saying that Democrats are "mobs" and blames them for this caravan of migrants coming which is a lie implying Soros funded it.
Then there are his daily attacks on the media.
I'd add possible ISIS or Russian operatives looking to disrupt things, and they also fall into your #3

Characteristics don't fit an actual explosive bomb (so say the experts), probably not ISIS or Russia. They can't spell, maybe they are retarded (low IQ). Nobody uses manila envelopes anymore either, people use flat rate. All rather weird, but suggests your average weirdo nutcase to me.

I don't know what NPCs are. So many can't admit that Trump promotes violence at his rallies. Remember the "he's my guy" just last week? How can people not see that? He loves to stoke the hate and he's doing a great job, I might add.
We have very little to go on at this point but as all the targets were the usual democrats righties like to hate id hazard a guess that some RWNJ let his hate get out of control.
