It's never been about collusion, period. It's about, "links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals (i) associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump"

You Republicans DO remember Ken Starr, don’t you? Turnabout is fair play.
That is not why the investigation has reached such proportions at all. Mueller's expertise is investigating organized crime and that is exactly what this is. Don't negate or diminish the importance and vastness of what has been uncovered by comparing it to Ken Starr's conspiracy theories.
Anyone remember that? "Illegal contacts during the transition period." It was the rage on MSNBC. Then they stopped talking about illegal contacts when they found out that there is no such crime as illegal contacts and incoming presidents are in fact expected to talk to foreign leaders and diplomats. Since then it's been "collusion" which is also not a crime (unless you say "collude to X" and X is a crime). In fact, top attorneys like Alan Dershowitz have said that it would be perfectly legal if Donald Trump called Putin and told him to release Hillary's emails (which obviously never happened).
The investigation is a wild goose chase.
Mueller has always been about revenge for firing his Brokeback Mountain buddy Comey and not hiring himself so he hired a merry band of butthurt Democrats to try and bring Trump down however he can...that's the mission and they will do what they can to accomplish the mission no matter the harm for the country.

I get that. I’m referring to the fact that the GOP has never had an issue with long drawn out investigations that I can remember.
