Didn’t watch it. Had better things to do, like shoving toothpicks under my fingernails.

The hypocrisy from the Dems on the border barrier is exactly why people hate DC politicians

I kept waiting for some sort of announcement, anything really, that he hasn't already said. Repeatedly.

well...good, but dry

1. even WAPO said there were no lies.

2. yes read off the teleprompter, and was slightly dry...it was actually good that he read, this way he didn't go off on some tangent, and get off message or deviate from the truth and facts.

3. even a WAPO opinion said trump won the night, and the Pelosi/Schumer lost the night

So ... what did you think of Trumps televised speech?
A little weaker than I would have liked. My preference is that a course of action like the declaration of an emergency or moving troops into position be announced.
Still, it was effective. The OP is typical. He breaks out in hives and accuses The President of lying while not refuting anything that was said. All the Dems can do now is stutter and deny.

TV Ratings: Democrats' Response to Trump Speech Outdraws President

Not sure anybody 'won' the night. The article about the ratings is just on preliminary numbers and may not be the final count and it is silly and not important.

From what I have heard -- the biggest criticism of the Democrats is that they should have known Trump was going to just be full of hot air and that they shouldn't have bothered to play his game. There was nothing new to bring to the issue from either party. If the Dems had just let Trump do his thing and avoided their lack luster appearance --- the negative impact would have been all on Trump.

To quote CM Punk, what a load of crap. Pretty much nothing but lies and scare tactics that are easily refutable. He had a lot of lines proven false by posters here.

#4: "This barrier is absolutely critical to border security [It's not]. It's also what our professionals at the border want and need [they don't]."

"How much more American blood must we shed before Congress does its job?" - Where in the hell does this come from? From that, you'd swear that America is currently a slaughterhouse. Also, he's trying to buck the responsibility to Congress when he's the one not making concessions. The Senate voted for a bill 100-0 regarding the budget. Trump doesn't get the wall in it and shuts gov't down.

You. You lie to yourself.

Trump. Much liar. Lies a lot.
