What I meant was sometimes justice/jail has to be good enough. There are many real victims of crimes that don't get justice especially in Chicago and they surely don't get an apology from a criminal so justice has to be enough in most cases.

For some families and victims, that's all they want is justice but posters care about an apology from a hoaxer of a nonviolent crime who they didn't recognize before the incident in the first place? Yeah ok.

well, are the other criminals so effing stupid? This was so elaborate, and all caught on camera, uber and cab records, phone records and so forth.

Are the other criminals texting 'Hey, I need you to do something on the low'? He made this easy to solve.

I want him to pay money for all the police resources wasted. AND go to jail, because just paying money means rich people can do whatever crime they want.

As someone earlybon pointed out. There are real victims here. They are the honest, innocent people who may wear a red hat and have been wrongly accused of doing reprehensible things.

What part of that is ok?

He owes an apology whether he gives one or not is irrelevant. Because that is what good people do when they eff up. Stop with the non-violent crime bit because how many man hours and $ were wasted on this BS that could have been better served investigating actual crimes?
