Same. I just looked at mine, and I got a significant tax reduction. Are these people just basing on the fact that they are getting smaller return and not looking that the total $$ deducted on a W2 is actually lower?

In what situation would their taxes go up? They are a significant property owner in a high local tax state? and their children are adults now? All of the property owners in high tax low-child families in CA, NY, NJ, IL should be getting hammered right about now, and rightly so. The majority should be seeing modest decreases.

There have been news articles that because they changed withholding some people expecting a large check back like normal instead got it back incrementally over the course of the year.

My friend was commenting on that just the other day as that was what happened to them.

Soooo, portraying a smaller check as not getting a tax cut is inconclusive and would require an honest assessment not to be found in most media these days.

I think the tweet was from somebody besides the OP. How is that turning anything against Trump? It is what it is.

For me, I will be getting a smaller check, but my withholding on the W2 has gone down significantly. Reduction in taxes overall.

I’m paying way way less in taxes. The people complaining are all high income earners in blue high tax states. There’s legitimately no way you are paying more in taxes if you are a lower or middle income earner or living in a low tax state. It’s impossbike.

This was a calculated F-you to blue states, and tough luck to you if you live there and supported him.
Really? Did you not know that blue states help fund red states? You think you're doing all that by yourself? LOL.

I suspect there is going to be much more of this as more people realize how badly Trump and the GOP screwed the middle class.
So 2 supporters in Blue states aren't happy, oh well, they can move to a Red state as many are and be better off.

My son, not a Trump suporter in 2016, just found out he's getting $12K back in taxes and now he's totally on board the Trump Train.

Trump is going to win in a landslide in 2020.

what until the democrats regain control in Washington and impose federal taxes on every income group to pay for universal healthcare....heads will explode when all americans' taxes go way up to pay for it....and universal health care is coming.

as to the trump tax cuts, let's wait and see how it shakes out. a few people paying more this year doesn't mean the tax cuts aren't helpful to the majority of taxpayers.
