Trump criticizes liberal media types who go all in on Smollet's claims, who were all in on the liberal smears against the Covington kids, etc.

You undermine your own argument when you pretend the liberal media does not consistently get things wrong about Trump and Trump supporters.

The leftist media basically has not covered the bipartisan congressional committee has found no evidence of Trump colluding with Russia in the election. That's because they have pushed the collusion conspiracy for 2 years.

they basically never lampoon Democrats. They even had tribute songs for Obama.

But again, he is making fun of the collusion conspiracy by accusing commedy shows like SNL of colluding with the Democratic party.

His larger point is that the liberal slant of television and hollywood has a bigger influence on what Americans think than anything he could have cooked up with Russia. lol

While it's certainly true that Trump is surprisingly thin-skinned, especially for someone who slings insults the way he does, what's more pertinent is his total disdain for the First Amendment, apropos of freedom of expression, as well as his basic inability to grasp that comedy is allowed great leeway.

Oh, and it's also pertinent as a reminder of how vindictive he is.

this is a great example of how liberals don't understand satire.... lol

If you watch television or go to the movies, more often than not there will be a liberal political message for you.

Imagine if all the news networks were conservative, the late night shows were conservative, the sports networks like ESPN were conservative, the movies were mostly conservative, etc. Liberals would be having a fit. lol

You could never handle Trump and the right's reality in this country.

Liberals can't handle losing to Trump and GOP in general because they have everything rigged in their favor. All he needed was to be himself and a Twitter account.

Graydon Carter (the now retired editor of Vanity Fair) stated fairly recently that he still occasionally gets photos from Trump with Trump's hands circled. It was more than 30 years ago that Carter first called Trump a 'short-fingered vulgarian'.

Dear ClemVegas,
Trump's tweets are not satire.
Who are you trying to convince? Yourself?

They are satire. He is always making fun of the left.

When he said collusion, it was obvious satire.

that's not true. i didn't watch SNL during the obama years but clinton got lampooned during his term, one of my favorite skits was 88's "dukakis after dark" where multiple democrats and liberals got skewered and both dana carvey and dan aykroyd lampooned jimmy carter.

That is flat out not true at all (I can tell you don't watch the show, by that comment alone)

They have made fun of every President, and many other Politicians....they did a lot of skits esp. of The Clintons, and yes they have satired even Obama. It's what the show is known for - Political Satire, which I have always enjoyed no matter whether the person had a D or a R besides their name. Most are good natured about it, or silent about it. Trump is the only one I have ever seen go full on snowflake about it...and it makes it even weirder because he has no problems at all making fun of other people or insulting names for them. Toddler in Chief needs to grow up...and grow a sense of humor.

Exactly. Never seen anyone react this way about it. He needs to grow a sense of humor.
Him and his base.
