I don't want to pay for other people's kids' daycare. I had to figure it out with mine and now I am done. If you can't afford them, don't have them. That includes daycare.

We already are paying for their daycare. It's called public education and it's compulsory for ages 6-16.

We aren't getting our money's worth. For any damn thing.

All I can do is make my contribution as small as possible.

Pocahontas can propose anything she likes. She will never be President, and she stands absolutely no chance of getting the Democrat nomination.

She knows this too and knows, whatever she says, she's never going to be held accountable for it. The world has already dismissed her as a self absorbed liar. i.e. a "progressive".

We could always make the kids fill potholes on public roads while the parents are at work. Now we're sitting on a winner!

You'll never get your money's worth when you have no choice but to pay the crook...err...I mean service provider.

sounds like you're in the wrong country then.

If they cannot afford to have kids, and all that entails, do not have kids. Really pretty simple.

I am sure there is no idea of how to pay for it other than the usual tax the rich refrain. However they probably could pay for this in a more revenue neutral way by eliminating the EITC and child tax credit for those who get the child care paid for. They should not be allowed to double dip on the tax deduction.
I would also love to see those who could qualify to safely work with the kids to be forced off welfare and made to work in these govt day cares. You could probably do the same for those wishing to have their student loans eliminated as the day cares will probably have to be open 7 days a week.

Wonder how many goodies they are going to propose between now and election time.,

We can add universal childcare onto medicare for all and $500 prize each month to Democratic proposals.

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/02/12/kama...e-incomes.html

So far, Kamala is proposing a $500 gift a month for families and Warren is proposing universal childcare that is free for families who make less than $50,000 and no more than 7% of income for those above $50,000

They have also proposed Medicare for All but there is no viable way to pay for it, so they want people to trust them that they know what they are doing.
After Obamacare came the Insurance sharks jacked up the premiums and still paying peanuts to the doctors.

Now time to jack the school and daycare fees as well.

However it will be a truly helpful proposal for many many hardworking single parent households.
