So the people making 51 and 52K are left out in the cold?

Government programs do not integrate well with other government programs.

Government programs force and evolution in family makeup. If the woman makes less than 50K she gets free childcare. If she is married and her hubby is making enough to put them over the limit, no childcare. So never get married or just cohabit. Family unit critical to stable society.

Wonder how many goodies they are going to propose between now and election time.,

We can add universal childcare onto medicare for all and $500 prize each month to Democratic proposals.

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/02/12/kama...e-incomes.html

So far, Kamala is proposing a $500 gift a month for families and Warren is proposing universal childcare that is free for families who make less than $50,000 and no more than 7% of income for those above $50,000

They have also proposed Medicare for All but there is no viable way to pay for it, so they want people to trust them that they know what they are doing.

Hmmm....................... I am a conservative, but would definitely support tax credits for childcare, as it appears to be an expense that markedly consumes middle income family budgets. Younger nurses have told me how much they spend and it is incredible. Personally, I will pay for the childcare of my grandchildren (if both spouses are working) to avoid such a burden. Most can't afford that luxury- however, we should support the children of working families, as that is the backbone of the US. Lot of future leaders in that cohort.

I am for anything that helps working families with children.

Such a measure is a much better "investment" than spending $100 billion per year on illiterate illegals, who are a drain on the US economy.

Yup. These government cliffs encourage the wrong thing. Look at Obamacare. A woman making $48,000 gets as much as $800 a month subsidy toward her premium. If she gets a promotion and a 10% raise to $53,000, she loses $10,000 a year in subsidies,

Democrats' message: stay dependent on government.

The costs are capped at 7% of income over 50k.

Not endorsing the plan, but that’s how I read it

It's been covered over and over and over and over.

He was going to enact a small fee on trades. So many would be financing their kids college that way. Once a person graduates the vast majority get into setting up for their futures also, so while they aren't paying while in college they would when they get out.

No different than with a loan. The banks simply can't hose you with inflated rates this way.

See above. An educated society lifts everyone.
