The thing is AOC may very well be the future of the Democrat party and that should scare us all.
Not all. It would scare you if you believe everything is fine as is now. It will make the rest of us hopeful that there is finally a reckoning of the reality of issues facing us and there may be a solution and there are people who will work to make those hard things happen.

Well, Let’s count the threads started by the Right about AOC vs threads started by the Left. You will see that AOC definitely lives in the heads of the Righties.
It doesn't work that way. There's no mechanism for a last minute switch. The party apparatus doesn't get to pick the candidate. They tried pumping the Hildabeast from the get go last time around, and it blew up in their faces (note that DJT is currently president.) So this time around the primary voters are going to really get to choose. And the loony lefties that vote in the D primaries are going to go full retard socialist. AOC and Amar aren't in the mix, but it's going to be one of the full bore socialists.
So it will be a loony lefty vs Trump. The wild card will be if Shultz will still be in the mix. This is an election cycle were the correct centerist independent could take it. I can't say if Shultz is the guy to pull it off. He's really not all that centerist, and my just split the left wing vote.
