Speaking of jails, the Republican run Oklahoma County Jail is an awful disgrace. One man had to wait for months before he could see a judge for the first time. He essentially got lost in the judicial process. https://kfor.com/2019/03/08/public-d...a-county-jail/

Speaking of schools, around one fifth of Oklahoma schools had to cut back to 4 days a week, because Republicans cut funding so much.

If Republican run states are so much better than Democrat ones, then Lovecrowds needs to explain to us why the new Oklahoma governor is tired of Oklahoma being in the bottom 10 for everything good and hopes to make Oklahoma a top ten state for what is good. Republicans have run the state since 2010.
I knew about the schools going to 4 days a week. I didn't know about everything else going on in Oklahoma, with the infrastructure. There is one more thing I need to add. And this is not meant to bash Oklahoma. This is just to prove that party affiliation doesn't matter.

Oklahoma has one of the highest violent crime rates in the USA. Tulsa has issues with gangs, and one of the highest rates of rape in the USA. Oklahoma also has among the highest incarceration rates in the USA. The state is also dealing with meth issues.

It is kind of surprising to me considering the presence the oil industry has in Oklahoma.

Oh please. MS and AL are ran by Republicans and they are still among the poorest states in the USA. You don't know who those "babies mamas" vote for. And why do you even care who they vote for? You don't know if they even vote at all.

Something else. Not many illegals are trying to go to Alabama or Mississippi. Not enough jobs to work at illegally. Alabama chased illegals out years ago, and Mississippi doesn't have enough jobs.

Which cities are being compared blue vs red, are there any large red cities, Plenty of infrastructure problems around the US, that is where the tax cut money should have gone.

^ Pure nonsense. Plenty of efficient, well-run republican/conservative states.

In fact, the states with the highest tax return-on-investment are generally republican.

Also, the most federally dependant state? New Mexico, heavily democratic leaning.

Parts of America have a Third World feel in America. I get that feeling every time I drive through Bell Glades or other small towns in Florida.. Honestly most of America has been left to rot for years, the recovery since 2008 has not touched many parts of the country. We also have a political squeeze going on in many states.

Governors run on lower taxes but also on improving schools and infrastructure. Rules are created to meet those goals without the additional funding to do so. Local mid to large cities raise property taxes ect.. to meet the new demand from the state. But small or rural areas get left out, they don't have the resources to meet the new requirements nor a tax base to subsidize the changes needed. So they just rot and this is spreading across the country.

New Mexico might be #1 in federal dependence, but the states that come very close: Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, West Virginia, South Carolina, Arizona, Alaska, Montana, and Louisiana. All of them are Republican states. With the exception of New Mexico, the rest are Republican states.

The bottom 10: Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, Colorado, Minnesota, Massachusetts, New Jersey,Illinois, Kansas, and Delaware.

States with highest GDP:
Massachusetts
New York
North Dakota
Delaware
Connecticut

This happened in Republican-controlled Mississippi. Sounds like it isn't only Democratic cities with infrastructure issues. It happens alot in Republican areas.
