Some of you folks seem to believe that folks in the larger cities don't work hard even though our cities are where the vast majority of our nation's economic output and innovation emanates from.
.
A tiny % produce that GDP.
I work in NYC. Bronx & Harlem where I switch trains are full of BUMS, BEGGARS, DRUG ADDICTS, etc.
Harlem btw, just like Wall St, is part of Manhattan.
Cities are a mixed bag. Some productive people, some bums.
And our Rural Conservative areas grow a whole lot more food and animals you like to eat in the big city.
Without them, you'd be a whole lot hungrier and the cotton you wear would not existent.
Yep, but basically everything beyond agriculture and mining is centered in the cities. And even in those industries the market is largely the cities. Rural areas and cities need each other, but my point still holds. Most of our nation's economic output and innovation is centered in its cities.
And yet our cities are more prosperous and innovative than most of our rural, conservative areas. And most of have no clue we are living on fascist plantations...we are just going about enjoying our lives.
Housing/rents is going up in many cities while wages remain stagnant. It causes people to flee and move to areas with more affordable housing.
Looks like a fresh, round of massive tax increases are coming to many big cities because the liberal Democrats are so fixated on President Trump that they have just let the infrastructure collapse.
Will be interesting when the massive trifecta of a recession, massive unfunded pension liabilities and old, crumbling failing infrastructure issues come to big to ignore.
Democrats run jails that are no better than those in third-world countries with jails that are definition of cruel and unusual punishment.
Democrats run schools that have no heat also in the middle of winter in cold northern cities. The liberal Democrats love to talk about STEM based educations what ever that is, but the inner-city schools in many cities are very old with long stretches without heat.
Democrats seem to have no usual with lead water pipes in Chicago.
The Democrats claim to care about the children, seniors and disabled but there are thousands of vulnerable people who are disabled and have suffered without heat and hot water in DeBlasio's NYCHA.
Los Angeles has a third-world jail that is in complete disrepair with billions needed for new jail.
San Francisco jails sewers are falling apart with a major raw sewage issue
IMHO, it is more about the rat-race factor. Cities, whether D or R, they get too populated and the quality of life declines. Of course government cannot keep-up with the huge demands placed on it, things degenerate and crumble.
Of course population is not the only factor, but it is a huge one.
Let the lights go out in the big cities for a few days and you'll find out just how wonderful and progressive and diverse the denizens can be. You might be rethinking those strict gun laws when the people used to having things provided for them come away empty. They are going to be coming for yours. Enjoy your center of culture and civic goodwill.
Dems give money to improve the lives of illegals, not to improve the lives of their own citizens.
