The OP brings up a valid point, as many so called journalists have been exposed for their liberal/left wing bias in the last few years. Sure the MSM has leaned left since the 1960's, and some were later proved to be far more left wing than anyone ever thought. However professional journalism was still alive, and many an editor or station head kept them in line.
Now the cannon of ethics they are suppose to abide by is a quaint notion, not the norm.

We are suppose to have a free and unbiased media as much as humanly possible. However since most of the media has voluntarily gotten into bed with the Democrats, it is like state run media whenever they hold power. The 8 years of Obama is a perfect example of how the media goes into hibernation, only to swarm like locusts whenever a Republican might or does win.

I find it sad that many people don't understand the ramifications of this. Obviously, the posters on here who are saying things like "Just turn it off' or you are a an idiot for not knowing the difference between opinion and news don't realize how dangerous it all is. I know the difference but do you think the average college student does? Or the average blue collar worker? Or the average immigrant whose first language is not English? They hear a headline on CNN and take it as gospel. THAT'S the idea.

Simple: Stop patronizing the Media.

You hold the power. You always have. It's called a "remote."

Stop watching network news and visiting on-line media sites.

Their revenues will drop, and they'll get the message, because money is the only thing they understand.

There are plenty of alternate news sources outside the US in English to get whatever news you want.

You can't complain about the Media, while simultaneously supporting them.

Maybe you should ask yourself when you will hold the president accountable for his non stop lying? After all he has a bigger audience, and more responsibility then a newspaper.

They won't. And that is sad.

People will turn into gelatinous blobs in hovercrafts with a Big Gulp sippy cup like in Wall-E.

^^^This. If you refuse to hold the President accountable for his constant lies, then how do you expect others to hold the media accountable?

It's a symptom of mental illness that is so prevalent on the left. Find a cure for liberalism, and we take away their audience.

Yes Obama should have been held accountable for all his lies. Especially re: Obamacare!
