Germany ... New York ... What's the difference?

Trump says his father was 'born in a very wonderful place in Germany' — but Fred Trump was actually born in New York City
Quote:
President Donald Trump on Tuesday said his father, Fred Trump, was born in "a very wonderful place in Germany."

But there's just one thing — Fred Trump was actually born in New York City, in the US.

"My father is German, was German. Born in a very wonderful place in Germany," Trump said of his father while meeting with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg.

This was apparently not the first time Trump has incorrectly said his father is from Germany.

His grandfather illegally emigrated to the USA and tried to get back into Germany in 1905 -- and they wouldn't take him -- so Granddaddy brought Trump's pregnant grandmother home and the baby was born in the USA.

Why is Trump so ashamed of his dad's American birth?

Kind of sad.

Trump's grandfather was at one point deported from Germany when he returned to his native country after spending time in the US for avoiding mandatory military service as a teenager.

Lying about where people were born is a common theme for Trump.

He probably meant to say grandfather, you know the mental faculty does not get better as you get older.

I think its unfair to call him a liar on this one. Its clearly just dementia setting in and him confusing his father and grandfather.

Anybody else notice how he kept saying "orange" over and over when he meant to say "original"..........

And how during his typical repeating himself 50 times he kept using the word "bad". "bad people", "bad things"...........

He's almost got the "Orange Man Bad" thing down himself.
