Damn, it looks like Trump is backing down AGAIN. I'm so disappointed in him for not following through on any of the crap he spews. This would have been an epic disaster. I'm still holding out hope the fool will do it. Maybe he needs some conservative talking heads to ridicule him for backing down again. That worked the last time.

They should also note that many of their favorite trucks come from Mexico including:

in addition to many autos from various manufacturers.

Audi Q5
Chevrolet Cruze
Chevrolet Sonic
Dodge Journey
Ford Fiesta
Ford Fusion
Honda Fit
Honda HR-V

Kia Forte
Nissan Versa
Nissan Sentra
Volkswagen Jetta

The largest industry in the USA would be crippled by a border closure since many parts for new cars come from Mexico whether they are listed as being made there or not.

Look, I and anyone that really cares do not want the border shuttered, but we are also tired of hearing the left and right claim they both want to fix immigration while doing nothing at all about it. In fact, they have created laws that have made it even worse!

Basically, we are tired of the lip service BS from both parties.

This is exactly how they got trump to reopen the govt, they whined and cried about people not getting paychecks.

Trump steps back from Mexico border threat as companies warn of economic fallout.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the largest U.S. business lobbying group, has been in contact with the White House to discuss the “very negative economic consequences that would occur across the country,” said Neil Bradley, the group’s top lobbyist, on a call with reporters.

as pressure mounted from companies worried that a shutdown would cause chaos to supply chains.

If the border is closed does that mean nothing goes from north to south?

How about the annual 42B in machinery

20B in gasoline and natural gas

12B in medical instruments

18B in corn, soy beans, dairy, beef, pork malt, etc. that the USA sends to Mexico?

The farmers will just have to suck it up just like they are doing with the tariffs.

Yes, Ive seen articles about some mexican people stealing border wall materials and using it at their own homes, so it does appear Trumps wall is being constructed right now.
