with a "wingman" for an attorney general, why would Obama or his administration ever have to worry about being "under investigation"? Of course they wouldn't.

there is now an investigation into how this "collusion" investigation started and we will see how that goes. Will the press give the origins of this investigation during the Obama administration the same ink they did for the mueller investigation into trump collusion/obstruction?

Unlike the last two years of narrative from the press about trump's "collusion with russia", which has been proven a lie by the mueller report, I'm willing to wait for the report before making a decision on the previous administration's alleged involvement in illegal activity during the trump campaign for president and after trump was elected president.

Covering up and obstructing a crime that was not charged. How can you obstruct a crime when there was none found?

Any future talk by these people along these lines is pure, undefiled nonsense, and nothing more.

It is called no evidence which means exactly or not enough evidence What part of this is so hard for people to understand?

No need to spin. It's not working. The focus is on the Mueller report and the wrongdoings of a sitting president. Nice try though.

William Barr Has Failed America

His press conference was appalling even by the Trump administration’s standard.

Observers of the Justice Department will spend the rest of our lives talking about Attorney General William Barr’s jaw-dropping and horrifically inappropriate address on Thursday morning, which attempted to spin special counsel Robert Mueller’s report in Donald Trump’s favor—before the public has seen it. In just a few minutes, Barr managed to throw Mueller under the bus, mount a Fox News–style defense of Trump, and further obscure his dubious decision to absolve the president of obstruction of justice. It is hard to convey just how appalling Barr’s performance was, and it will take a while to assess the extent of the damage Barr just inflicted on the Department of Justice and the office of the attorney general. But let me take a first crack: This was Pravda-style propaganda, pure and simple, a grotesque display of spineless fealty to the president, and a confirmation that Barr views the Mueller investigation as fundamentally illegitimate.

Barr is not called the cover-up general for nothing, which is precisely why Trump hired him. Corrupt dirtbags always find each other. A shame that the USA has devolved into a having mafia style crime syndicate at the helm.

Bwahaha. That sounds like pure, partisan politics to me. And it will to most Americans as well. As I believe you already know very well.

So obstruction does not include 'covering' up a crime. Obstruction would include lying to Congress or Mueller who were investigating the potential crime.

You don't get charged with 'obstructing a crime'...that's not how it works.

You get charged with obstructing the 'investigation'.
