I am still waiting on the details of the supposed threat from a country thousands of miles away with a military that is small fraction of ours. This all sounds contrived and short on specifics.
With the entire world watching the US continues to go after oil rich countries. Comrade Trump revs up his posse against Iran in order to redirect their attention. There just might be a problem with action against Iran and that is that both Russia and China also have an interest. The US playing silly games just might bring us to nuclear war. Regardless, any kind of conflict will result in the loss of American lives. Many will be your children and grandchildren who will be sacrificed for nothing more than a political stunt.

The USS Abraham Lincoln was already assigned to the 5th Fleet and was already on station or was on the way (the Navy is cagey about identifying the precise location of its at-sea assets). There wasn't actually a change in that regard--the administration merely characterized it differently for political reasons.

Actually, no. You don't understand that there is more than one "Islam" and the one that has been threatening the West is the one bankrolled and propelled by Saudi Arabia. Sunni Muslims do not "join in" to Shiite Muslim salients and vice versa. They kill each other.
