I already have a college degree. I was just giving my opinion about what's going on. And this is the thing about Tennessee. I've been to Nashville. Not bad at all. Their public transportation leaves alot to be desired, but it's a nice city. Other parts of the state, not for me. I would especially stay away from Memphis.
There are some red states I will give a chance: Texas (I lived there once, I'll try it again, this time with adult eyes), Kansas (particularly around Wichita and the KS suburbs of KC), Idaho (gotta love those mountains). It's Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas I don't plan on moving to.
I wouldn't expect anyone to move their just for a free community college education which is fairly inexpensive around the country, just pointing out that other states may be doing the same. Community colleges are a great way to save money, could never see going into debt at a top private college.
Actually visited both Memphis and Nashville and agree, Nashville seems like a pretty nice city but not familiar with the rest of the state. This is what people need to do to advance, technical training is a step in the right direction and Tennessee has a shortage.
Of course...everyone likes goodies that other people need to pay for. We need to trust conservative representatives to prevent them from being offered in the first place, because once implemented, good luck ever rolling them back.
Thats why we're stuck with bogus Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.
I'm no fan of the South but I applaud any state that offers their residents a college education. Those residents will be better able to get jobs and not require my tax dollars to support them.
I want to be the first to say , thank you for supporting us with your tax dollars. Bless your heart.

You realize your tax dollars support kids who go to college, right?

Just as they do now at a high cost. Tell everyone its free but don't tell them the price is the loss of individual freedom and that is what they will learn later, on their own.
Once someone hears free they stop listening and its Katie Bar the Door.
