First time this happened to me was today, but is this a nationwide precaution or just something instituted state to state?

All i wanted was some Claritin-D. Walmart not only had it behind the pharmacy kiosk, but I had to show my license and then they actually ran my license through a database!

I told my wife about it, and she was saying that in some states, they’re doing the same thing with DRAINO!! WTH?? DRAINO?

I’m starting to realize that I’m living in a bubble...I’m seriously disconnected from what’s going on. The Walmart employee was surprised that I was shocked at having to have my ID run for allergy meds. She was looking at me like I had two heads! Lol

It includes pseudoephedrine as an ingredient, which is used to make methamphetamine. This is why it is regulated this way.

They did the allergy thing years ago. It was being used to make meth. Draino can also be used.

You’re not in a bubble but they have been doing this for years, decades.

In some states, you need a prescription. The people who can't afford to see a doctor started going to the ER. Caused another financial burden on hospitals because those people can't afford to pay a hospital bill either.

It's why their teeth fall out. Very acidic.

Nope. Drano (not "draino") is not acidic, it is Sodium Hydroxide, also known as lye, and is very basic. It is not in meth, it is used in the production of it. The reason meth-heads' teeth fall out has nothing to do with how meth is made but how it works. Among other things it makes a mess of the how the body absorbs calcium so the bones become brittle and teeth suffer. Meth is much worse on the body than opioids like heroin. I don't know how anybody can advocate that drugs like meth should be legal.
