Exactly I expect high standards of Congress, but at the end of the day they are the representative of the 700k+ residents in their districts first and foremost. Their job is to bring the concerns, and beliefs of their constituents to the American capital and fight for them.

She can be a part of the PR government. No one is stopping her from moving there. PR is not a state. They are more autonomous than the states are. They need to start fixing the corruption and incompetence that plagues their government. AOC, no doubt, thinks she has all the answers, then let her prove it.
Besides, you missed the entire point. All the anti-Trumps are ranting about how these congresswomen don't live in their ancestral homes. Others pointed out that nothing is stopping them from going there and fixing problems. Clearly they weren't elected there. Yet, the point is they claim to have all the answers, then why not go back and fix things in their ancestral homes instead of going on the attack?
But AOC didn't come from Puerto Rico. She comes from NYC. If Trump followed what you are saying, he would be in Germany or Scotland helping to fix their problems.
