I see this move from this president to try to divide the dems and instill into his base that dems are "socialists". The fact that only one candidate for the dems identifies as a socialist is Bernie Sanders does not matter, he will continue this rhetoric because it gets his base fired up & he thinks it will bring more votes next year.

There are people who are actually born in the US and Trump would actually say that, implying they "weren't really born in the US."
All true but realize that racism and bigotry have always been central to American culture, it was true when we destroyed the Native American tribes, it was true when we developed an economy based on slave labor, and it remains true today - it is embodied in the Presidency of Donald Trump. There is a certain segment of our society that celebrates racism and white entitlement, some do it openly, some do it quietly. But it has not gone away simply because we passed a few laws.

I am not making anything up and I agree with you, however it can't be denied that his attacking 4 woman of color has made many minority people mad enough to vote when maybe they wouldn't have. No credit to him at all. He stepped on his tongue once again.
The “communist” “socialist” “x candidate wants to turn our country into Venezuela” are the arguments being used around the world against leftwing governments.
This is not something trump came up with. He (and Pence and the rest) are being advised to use those particular words, phrases when speaking to the public.
