So you can take it easy. At best we might see a public option for health care years down the line, after the medical industrial complex have spent billions to fight it, but even that is far from certain. By far the most likely result is that the disabled, the sick, the elderly and the poor will continue to suffer, tens of millions will be without health care, while Wall Street laugh all the way to the bank. There is no reason to worry about "communism", "healthcare for all" or whatever else you're afraid of.
OK, while you say that to Rachel, you yourself feel compelled to make excuses for Bernie?

And, this idea that he’s the slayer of the wealthy elite is just his “Shtick”. It’s just his little political theme that has never worked anywhere. But if you delve into Bernie’s world, he is a communist. And his ideas are dangerous if ever he gained enough traction to move the country in that direction.

Frankly, there seems to be a segment of the population who will always be hooked by pie in the sky promises to wit the socialists and communists always offer up, but never seem able to deliver. What ALWAYS follows is misery, and authoritarianism, and a smaller but equally powerful “political elite class” whose policies benefit nobody but themselves. The poor get poorer, and the middle classes all but replace them. So, it does produce more equality .... but equally poor, with no chance to improve is hardly an aspiration one should embrace.

As for the tired mantra of Millions suffering without health insurance, the reality is, all of that suffering is BECAUSE OF HEALTH INSURANCE, and government intervention in healthcare. Let me explain. You see, we don’t actually talk about the real problem with healthcare, we only talk about who pays and how much. But we never discuss what we are getting for the money, do we? Nope. What health insurance really is is a Ponzi scheme ... and it’s the biggest one ever conceived, and continues to scam the clueless masses, more than any other fleecing scheme created.

Back, not all that long ago, health insurance was called “hospitalization”, and it was actual insurance for unexpected medical catastrophe requiring hospital care. And it wasn’t very expensive, and a lot of employers provided it to their employees free. All other forms of healthcare were the responsibility of the recipient... go to the doctor, pay out of pocket. Buy a prescription, pay out of pocket. And guess what? The costs for this were low, BECAUSE people had to pay out of pocket. That is what kept costs low. I remember if/when I got sick, I’d go to the doctor, pay $20 for an office visit (and actually see the doctor, not a NP), go get my $3 prescription, and be out $23. That was maybe once a year, sometimes not even that frequent. Fast forward .....

Then, government got involved, and healthcare became a pyramid system. To circumvent the free market nature of healthcare, where costs had to be aligned with the customer’s ability and willingness to pay, the Ponzi scheme of “health insurance” was created, so now we gather this huge pool of funds, collected by health insurance companies with their smorgasbord of coverages for everything under the sun, from runny noses, to erectile dysfunction, and nobody pays attention to the costs, because the insurance company pays it. The result is, huge charges for services nobody would willingly or be able to pay out of pocket. It doesn’t matter that an office visit went from $20, to $150, because nobody has to pay out of pocket. And at first, the premiums were reasonably cheap (that was the bait). But year after year, the costs continued to rise at rates 2, 3, 4 times the rate of inflation (no other industry or product has come close to the healthcare industry’s annual rates of increase in costs). Now, people have these massive premiums to pay, doctor office co-pays, and astronomical deductibles and out of pocket maximums that make the average plan virtually useless unless you actually do have a catastrophic illness. Then you have government subsidies to the industry (more hidden costs the tax payers pay), and its a gigantic fleecing of Joe public measured in Hundreds of Billions.

What’s the socialist solution? More socialism. We need a government operated free for all healthcare system!!! And no plan would be complete, unless it covers gender transition surgery. Pay no attention to the disastrous results that the VA SOCIALIST medical system has produced ... and let’s not examine too closely the waste, fraud and abuse rife in the Medicare and Medicaid system ... and don’t you dare speak out against providing free healthcare to illegal immigrants .... you racists!

Yep. That’s Liberalism, in a nutshell. Everything free! There is one universal truth ..... when someone offers you anything for free .... you probably can’t afford it.

For all your long rant I don’t see you or your fellow conservatives offering up a answer either, most likely it’s because they are to busy taking money from lobbyists.

Yes, Bernie is the only candidate running who does not take bribe money from Wall Street, big pharma and the medical industrial complex. Thats why they hate him. He is his own man and they cant stand that. Thats what it all boils down to in the end.

Bernie pays his hourly workers $15/hour.
Bernie pays his salaried workers $36K/year and provides paid for benefits.

I've already provided links to Bernie's job site.

All of a sudden these salaried workers would rather become hourly workers. Well they can. Just quit that salaried job with paid for benefits and take on one of the hourly jobs with no benefits.

Maybe SANDERS should be the head of a local KFC location and specialize in meals with corn KERNELS.

Sanders can't even realize his socialist utopia inside his own campaign.

Nice try, but you are way off base. If the lowest paid on his staff is making $13, that is damn good, compared to the national average. He is treating them very well, and is only projecting $15 as a NATIONAL GOAL for sometime in the future.

Geesh, even Bernie isn't safe from unfounded attacks !

Bernie's a fraud we've known that for decades. No wonder he's a democrat.

Exactly! I don’t think young people understand what the difference is because they weren’t around then, but it is a huge difference.
